About the Author:
Mufti Ashiq Ilahi Buland Shahri was a distinguished scholar and prolific writer from the Indian Subcontinent. Born in 1343 AH in Bulandshehr, Uttar Pradesh, he received his primary education at Madrasa Imdadiyya Moradabad and Jami‘ Masjid Aligarh. He further pursued higher knowledge at Mazahir ‘Ulum Saharanpur. Throughout his career, he taught various subjects at esteemed institutions such as Ferozpur Jhirka, Hayat al-Ulum Moradabad, and different madrasas in Calcutta. Notably, he also taught at Dar al-Uloom Karachi for several years at the request of Mufti Muhammad Shafi’. Mufti Ashiq Ilahi Buland Shahri authored numerous well-received books in various countries, covering a wide range of topics including Islamic conduct, the rights of parents, Tafsir of the Qur’an, and hadith. He passed away in Madina at the age of 80 and was buried in the Baqi‘ graveyard.
